Why I Decided to Go Ahead and Jailbreak IOS 8

Here we go again. The new phone is coming out. You know the one. It is the model that people actually camp out in front of the stores for so they can get one as soon as they are released. Now I’m not in that much of a hurry to get one that I would sleep on a sidewalk. I just preorder one. Still, that leaves me in need of knowing how to jailbreak iOS 8 as soon as it comes out. I cannot stand a cell phone, especially a smartphone, that is tied to a specific carrier with all of that junk software they include.

This is probably the biggest problem I have with phone devices nowadays. Every provider out there has a bunch of junk they preload onto the phones. Who thinks up the apps they put on is anybody’s guess, but it seems like they pick the worst junk to put on there just to annoy you. The thing that gets me is that you cannot delete it! You keep getting notices to update those apps even if you don’t use them. Sure, you can remove the icons from your screens, but the apps are still taking space in your phone’s storage. And we all know that these phones do not have an expansion card capability. You are stuck with what you buy.

Being able to jailbreak iOS8 permits me then to dump these apps and take full control of the phone. Since I am paying full price for it, that is what I want to do. I can understand it a bit if you get a reduced price phone under a two year contract, but I do not get my phones like that. Since it is my money buying my phone, I want to control what apps are installed on it and how it functions. It would be nice if carriers had more of a consideration for customers like me.
